One Major New Year's Resolution Down...About 100 to go.
It actually didn't take very long for me to get this blog set up, but it felt like an eternity because I have the patience of a hungry 2 year old when it comes to something I'm excited about.
Anyway, one of my New Year's Resolutions was to set up a blog for Ron and I. A place to keep track of all our banter and help friends and family scattered around the country stay updated on our lives.
But, me being me, decided it couldn't be just any blog. It had to be an AWESOME blog. I wanted to have professional pictures taken downtown to use in the header. And I wanted someone with some actual knowledge of blog design to make that header/template for me.
So that's what I did. Using money I got for Christmas (thanks Mom, Dad, Grandma Bower, and Aunt Leslie!) I hired ada photography, which consists of Carmel couple Cory and Jackie Phillips. They were amazing, we had a great time getting to know them as they took our pictures and we can't wait to do it all over again this Spring when I update the layout.
After I got the pictures back
(well, I haven't actually gotten the dvd with all the photos on it yet. Early last week Cory was kind enough to send me a link to a webpage with all the pictures and I immediately uploaded them to Facebook (there's that hungry 2-year old thing again) without considering that they might want me to wait because the pictures on the dvd would be better quality. So when I pick up the dvd this week I'm going to switch everything out with the better quality pics.)
I contacted Diana from Custom Blog Designs to create this sweet blog layout. She was really great to work with too. So great I'm going to have her give my personal blog, A Running Contradiction, a makeover in the next few weeks.
So. I hope you like our blog as much as I do. (I, for the record, will always be Karen unless otherwise noted.) I feel it was definitely money well spent and I can't wait to really get started. :)
